Features
Aware systems have been designed to be simple to operate; in fact so simple you can take an Aware out of the box, turn it on and fly with it straight away. All airspace updates for the device are FREE and available every 28 days via the website.
The Aware will improve your situational awareness and warn you of any possible airspace infringements. Should you become disorientated, the Aware will constantly remind of you of your relative position. More sophisticated navigation features can be unlocked with an Aware Plus upgrade.

Airspace Warning
the Aware systems contain a full updatable UK airspace database.
- Clear warnings in flashing red and white
- Only warns about airspace at or near current altitude
- Gives information on class, name, height, distance, operational hours and a frequency if available
- Airspace updates are FREE and provided directly from NATS every 28 days on the AIRAC cycle
Moving Map
Aware and Aware Plus systems have a clearly laid out main display, with the map taking centre stage, buttons along the bottom and airspace warnings on the right.
- Move the map by tapping the screen in the desired direction
- Zoom in and out on the map by pressing + or -
Touchscreen Route Planning
Aware Plus gives pilots the ability to flight plan on their unit (available as an upgrade for Aware units)
- Press and hold on the map to enter a waypoint
- Tap to pan around the map
- Add and delete waypoints with ease
Enroute Information
Airbox gives you the facility to display a wealth of enroute information.
- Airspace warning
- Current location (LONG/LAT)
- Location relative to nearest town/airfield
- Altitude in feet
- Speed vector graduated at one minute intervals
Choice of charts
Aware and Aware Plus are compatible with a variety of charts to enable you to fly with the map you’re most familiar with.
- All systems come with half million scale charts of the UK as standard
- Quarter million scale charts are available as complete sets, partial sets and individual charts
- DFS Germany and OACI France charts are available for Europe with new territories being added all the time
